Correcting a Historic Injustice- USA Recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's Capital

I can only credit antisemitism with the Historic Injustice of the refusal to recognize Jerusalem as Capital of the State of Israel by all the nations and mainstream international bodies.

Jewish History, which is delineated in the Bible, that same book that is used to "swear on" by western countries including the United States of America, began in the Holyland, here in the Middle East, and from the time of King David, about three thousand 3,000 years ago, Jerusalem has been the administrative and spiritual Capital City. That predates the very beginnings of both Christianity and Islam by more than a millennium, 1,000 years.

That's why it was obvious to even early secular Zionists that they would make Jerusalem Capital City of the much dreamed of Jewish State.

Unlike the vast majority of the members of the United Nations, Israel wasn't an "invented" country. Check the history of most countries, most especially those in South America, the Middle East and Africa, and you will find that borders were drawn and the names made up by committees of politicians and bureaucrats. Native tribes speaking different languages and following different religious traditions were forced to become one political entity, when they had nothing in common. Tribes and tribal leaders were transferred from place to place, crowned and uncrowned, as maps were drawn without ever trying to take into account the people those borders would affect.

The so-called Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is one of those totally invented countries. The Hashemites were imported to prevent the Zionists from being able to return to the eastern bank of the Jordan River, which was where the Biblical "cities of refuge" had been located.

Please don't forget that the world remained totally silent during the Nazi attempt to kill all the Jews in the world, starting with Europe.

There have always been Jews in the Land of Israel. The revolutionary aspect of Zionism was its aim to establish a modern state for Jews in the Holy Land. That was before Balfour and before the United Nations. The Balfour Declaration and the General Assembly vote November 29, 1947 were results of  Zionism. They were international recognition of Jewish rights. But that didn't mean that any country would help us.

The Jewish People fought alone during Israel's War for Independence and again in subsequent wars.

I must say that the hardest war has been the diplomatic war against us, which continuously tries to delegitimize Jewish connections to the Land of Israel and our holy cities, especially Jerusalem.

The insidious invention of a so-called "Palestinian sic people" has been very effective. This fake entity has been gifted by the world, and even many Jews, with equal rights to Israel. This is a total outrage!

Even Trump's carefully written recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's Capital City doesn't go far enough to correct this historic and moral wrong. But it's a very important step in the right direction.

Thank you, Donald Trump!

I have to disagree with you Bayta that this is an important step in the right direction. Let me explain.

In Trumps carefully stated speech, he made some important declarations. The first obvious one is the support for the two state solution (don't forget that has always been his stance along with k Bibi). He also stated that the religious sites MUST remain as they are. He basically reaffirmed the UN declaration. He basically tied our hands. If you think we won with crumbs, try annexing the Land now and see how far that get's us.

What he did not say? Did he state that Jerusalem is the undivided capital of Israel. NO. Did he declare the Palestinians are an invented people created by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Hitler? NO.

Have you listened to the little court Jew Kushner? He said that he was interested in doing what is right for the US and that he has gotten lots of concern from the world that this situation must be resolved for a "peaceful" world. He, being an American, paid by the Americans must put the interest of the USA first. He may be dati, but he is not nationalistic in the Jewish sense.

What about the Czech Republic jumping in on the band wagon to move their Embassy to Jerusalem? Does this mean that they suddenly are in support of us? Look at the last UN resolution where 151 nations voted that Israel has no ties to Jerusalem. Did the Czech Republic vote against it? NO. Did they abstain? NO. If they cared about us, they would have made an effort to show such being a UNESCO member. What is happening, the more embassies move to "West" Jerusalem, how we will glee in our victory, then the rug is pulled out from under us with the division of the Land. Shiloh will be gone!

Sadly Jews are all wet over Trump. He will force us to commit suicide with his upcoming peace plan that our gov't will gladly accept. The Fakestinians along with the Saudi's are playing a great charade.

If you have not listened to Prof Gil-White this week on the Tamar Yonah show, at israelnewstalkradio.com you should take 40 minutes out of your busy day. The show is about has Trump and Iran. He will be back on in a week or so about this latest development.

I have got word from some that are close to the king's circle that they are very worried about what has just happened and know that the coming pressure will be unbearable. Ignore the words of the king here, watch what he does.

This is simply about one thing, and we are in the way. For the globalist agenda to come to pass, Israel must be destroyed. And destroyed it will be unless the people stand up, partnering with God, to end this charade. Even the dati are saying, we will have new elections in 2019, wait until then. We have lost faith in ourselves and in God.

The statement Trump made may not be percect but it is a great improvement and should be praised.

This is only the beginning. The US may be in its greatest constitutional crisis since pre-Civil War.

Expert chess players know that it is not enough to make good moves; each move must be made at the correct time, or it is not really a good move.

Maybe I am wrong about this, but I view USA President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital as a good move, that was made at a bad time.

I say “bad time” because in recent years, Israel made significant progress in trade relations with its Arab neighbors. Donald Trump’s sudden move severely endangers this progress.

I say “bad time” because in recent years, hundreds of Arab Muslims made significant progress in viewing Israel and Jews as decent people, not as monsters. Donald Trump’s sudden move severely endangers this progress.

Another reason why I say “bad time” is because the USA acted alone in its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Ideally, the USA should have recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital as part of a coalition of a dozen nations that all recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, all dozen nations at the same time.

Sorry, it's so important that any time is good.

He did not recognise the undivided city of Jerusalem at all! He made it very clear that the religious sites will remain under the current status quo. He is for a two state solution. How does this help us?
