Ehud Barak, Israel's consistently incompetent Defense Minister, sent  elite commando forces to board the Godzilla flotilla, but instructed them to expect little physical-military resistance.  Shades of Jenin, when the IDF entered Jenin and were massacred.  Of course, no great surprise that the world is condemning us.  If we had just torpedoed/bombed the terrorists we'd get the same criticism and we would have rid ourselves of serious enemies.  Our "pussy-footing" defense actions is doubly bad, because we leave our enemies alive and we still get condemned.


Does anyone really expect a Leftist like Ehud Barak to learn from history?


Wishful thinking should never be included in military planning.  It's important to objectively assess one's enemies.  The Godzilla flotilla leaders weren't shy in voicing their plans to kill Jews.




It's better to be a bissel paranoid than to be Pollyanna.
