After The Freeze...

While I was busy getting my home ready for Passover a neighbor was doing something else.  Taking a walk I discovered metal-sheeted "wall" not far, across the street.  On it is a sign:

12 Terrace Apartments of 5 Rooms Each
Large Southern Balconies With View
...
Construction Will Begin Immediately After The Conclusion of The Freeze

That makes it three housing projects in Shiloh.  Two began before Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's YESHA construction freeze and one, this new one, will use the remaining half year for marketing, legal and technical preparation.

Of course, taking into account history and politics and Bibi's weakness for American approval, who knows if he'll really keep his promises about building in YESHA after the ten months are up...

Is this one of those - don't hold your breath moments? I must tell you that I did a class tutorial at the university here on Jewish social movements in Israel. The presentation was on Labour Zionism, the JDL/Kach Party, Peace Now and Women in Green. The prof was nervous given the hizbullah lecturer the day before(good thing I was away for chag)but it all went well. What I showed was the paradigm shift from the Right to the Left and how the Left is a detriment to Israel's security and self-preservation. These two are important for Israel's existence. This is why you must continue to built in the land.
