"The rain radar is closed..."

No surprise. There's a drought here in the Holy Land.

It was announced that there's a new online service, "rain radar," but all it says it that there aren't any rain clouds. That's dangerous. We need rain, and we need water.

Of course our brilliant politicians have been negotiating with water-blessed countries to import water. I'm serious. How many thousands of tanker ships will it take and how much money?

Will parents start warning their kids:
"Don't wast water. Do you think it grows on
trees?"

Will we soon hear:
"Do you shampoo with Turkish or Egyptian water?"

The rain here is determined by how we keep the mitzvot, and we means all of us. Majority rules, right? And this great Israeli democracy is causing a drought. We're only a couple of weeks before Chanukah. The gardens should be sopping, all muddy, but the air is so dry I could dry a wash outside at night, without the sun's help.

Shavua Tov!
