Unlike many Israeli towns and communities, including the left-wing kibbutzim, my home in Shiloh was built on land with a long, rich Jewish History and was unoccupied before modern Shiloh was established. Until terrorism made it too dangerous, not only did Arabs work here, but neighboring Arab families availed themselves on the medical staff resident here.
Only Sinat Chinam, Baseless Hatred, could be the cause for a statement like this:
"We did not come here as right-wing settlers," said Rosenblatt. "The haredi residents of Modi'in always have always had a terrific relationship with our Arab neighbors. We brought them business and jobs. Peace Now not only caused us a lot of damage and heartache, they also hurt the Arabs."
It's not true. Rosenblatt's statement is a clear examples of Sinat Chinam, Baseless Hatred and Motzei Shem Raa, a false statement which is either derogatory OR potentially harmful to a third party.
Rosenblatt is no better than Peace Now, which set motion the financial bankruptcy of the Cheftziba Building Company.

Perhaps we Settlers aren't doing enough, if our closest natural allies, Charedim in Greater Israel, don't view us the same way they view themselves in this matter.

Don't blame us so quickly. The chareidim have always done their best to disengage from the state.
Peace Now is not behind the bankruptcy of this company of which I think, a majority of its projects are not in Yesha anyways. There was apparently lots of corruption there, but certainly Peace Now didn't help matters by not letting it finish a few hundred homes in Modiin Illit.
I've been saying it for a while, the 'orange' and the 'black' should have paired up a while ago. But the black are still convinced that the dati-leumi 'mizrachnikim' are little more than secular zionists with kipas, and unfortunately, they are right in general. But, a new generation of orange 'torani' are growing up and they might be able to bridge the gap where the older generation can't.
The "black" have no problems moving into reasonably priced homes in "black" YESHA communities. Why should they think their towns are more kosher than mine?
