Playing G-d

After the YESHA Council's totally disastrous "attempt" to stop Disengagement ended in total failure, they should have resigned and taken full responsibility for the destruction of the Jewish Communities in Gush Katif and Northern Shomron.

Instead,
they're planning the destruction of more Jewish Communities. They are meeting with the government, making lists of communities to live and to be destroyed.

  • There should be no more destruction of Jewish Communities!
  • No more Jews should be exiled from their homes!

  • The YESHA Council must resign and its members cease all public activities as "representatives" of the Jews in YESHA!

Agreed, this is terrible & Moetzet Pesha should resign. Don't replace them, let's recognize Homesh First, Women in Green, & other such fine orgs as the TRUE reps of Yehudei Yehuda v'Shomron!
And NO ONE should abandon ANY area in all of Eretz Yisrael. If they are "too weak" to withstand the pressure, they should AT LEAST NOT LEAVE until the government GUARANTEES them a new home in Homesh, per their decision in this article.

yitz and maoz
thanks

As a long time (26 years) resident of Shiloh, I don't see how they've contributed, certainly not in recent decades.

Look what is still happening to Josephs Tomb. The secular dibs don't care. Will they care about Machpelah?

Batya,
please don't exagerate. Moetzet Yesha has been a driving force in the settlements until a few years ago. Currently, and especially after their recorded ineptitude w/r to the expulsion, they do not have a mandate to represent any of us, and certainly not to negotiate withdrawal from land.

And the government is making a massive error in thinking that moetzet yesha 'lead us' and we will accept their choices.

What happened to the 'new moetzet yesha'? This does not seem like something they'd accept. Something's fishy and many people are going to get hurt. What happened to Zambish? When did he get so soft?

Haven’t they learnt from Gush Katif that playing the nice guy doesn’t work? If they had not undermined the more activist elements, maybe the expulsion would never have happened – and certainly not as a two-community-per-day express campaign.
Moetzet Yesha should let Kommemiut, Women in Green and ‘Homesh First’ lead the struggle.

Josh, it's a very, very long time since Moetzet YESHA built a yishuv.

Josh and Yoni, there's lots of money involved, salaries etc. They're not going to fold up so quickly.
