Is the anti-Peretz camp over-doing it?

You've seen this!

Israel Defense Minister, Amir Peretz, is a very easy target. He just asks for the mockery. By now everyone has seen this picture of him blindly staring through the blocked binoculars.

I'll compare him to the Likud's David Levy, an early Sfaradi politician from Beit She'an, a development town in the north of Israel. The higher Levy got in politics, the more anti-Levy jokes were heard, but he was no Amir Peretz. He was/is nobody's fool.

In his prime David Levy was a mover and a realist. Knowing well how the Labor establishment would treat him like garbage, because of his background, he joined the Gahal-Likud.

Amir Peretz may be forced out of office pretty soon, unless all the anti-Peretz stuff causes a backlash of sympathy. Regardless, his career won't be lasting, since he's not a strong leader.
