What a Way to Start the Year

It really was nice to have two days of Rosh Hashannah, when it's forbidden to listen to the radio, watch TV or talk on the phone. We had no idea what was going on in the rest of the world. The big news here was the name of the new little boy in Shiloh, who had his Brit Milah (circumcision ceremony) which includes naming on the first day of the holiday.

The prayers were inspiring, everyone's well, thank G-d, and the weather fine. What more could we ask for?

Even when I turned on the computer just as the holiday was over, I didn't check the news. I figured that bad news would announce itself, if there was any. So after washing some dishes, I took a peek and wish that I had waited.

The Jerusalem Post had one of its wimpy, pc, brainwashing headlines stating that "a youth" tried to stab soldiers. Really? Why didn't they use the "T" word? It seems pretty obvious that an Arab, whether 18 or 28, who attacks Israeli soldiers with a knife and shouting:

The 18-year-old Palestinian ran
toward the soldiers brandishing a knife and shouting "Allahu Akbar" or "God is greatest," witnesses said.

Wounding them or not, he is a terrorist.

It's strange, or maybe not so strange considering, that the Jerusalem Post decided to headline that attack, when a female soldier was wounded in the neck in an earlier terror attack in the same area.

And in spite of the continuing terror attacks, the Arabs are demanding more "good will" gestures from Israel. Who knows what Sharon will feed the sharks in response, but they'll be getting more money from the European Union.

I just can't write any more about the news. What a way to start the year.
